Mom's buyer got the job at the college.

Her house is now under contract.

Now it's time to get her moved!

Redo fever

You know that feeling when you are just within sight of the end of a project?  Well, we're one paint application and some polyurethane away from being able to reassemble the newly modernized guest room.

So, I must steel myself for just a couple more days of new drapes and bedding stacked in the dining room, the new rug rolled up in the entrance hall, and the cavalcade of furniture lined up in the upstairs hallway that makes running for the phone or bathroom a potentially fatal endeavor.

But persevere we will, because it's all in the aid of  a good cause.  We're just waiting to find out if Mom's potential buyer landed the job at the college and then it will be all hands on deck for the big move.

I dreamed a dream:

So - last night (actually, this morning), I dreamed that a work colleague and I were running a huge, highly intricate customer event where we were responsible for everything. So, when a sales rep angrily informed us that the candy dishes were empty, we sought out the candy stores at the events room.

Upon locating the segmented drawers where the candy was stored, the compartments held different varieties of candy with what looked like gravel, dirt, dust bunnies and loose change - all mixed together.

I told my colleague - "I am NEVER eating ANYTHING at one of these events ever again!"

She responded - "Don't worry - I'll bake you something and you can rest assured there won't be any gross stuff in it."

To which I responded (in real life, out loud, slightly sitting up in bed):

"I know - you'd never find dirt and loose change in my sh*t."

....
